Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is the creation of compact, walkable communities with convenient access to high frequency transit service.
There are excellent opportunities for TOD’s that can be integrated with the Stage 1 stations at Harkness, Osborne, and in the Fort Rouge Yards area.
The project planning team is collaborating with developers and city planners to ensure that the Transitway stations are effectively integrated with any new developments.
