Zoom in to find stops on the map

Zooming in on a map sufficiently, no matter where you see it on the site, will reveal all of the bus stops operated by Winnipeg Transit. Clicking on one of these bus stops will reveal a quick glance at some important information about the stop, such as its name and number, a picture, and the next three buses passing the stop. As well, it provides links to the stop's home page, schedules for the stop, and a link that allows you to save the stop to your user profile for quick access later.
Use the pop up menu on the map

At any point when looking at the map you can access the map's pop up menu. Typically this is done by clicking the right mouse button anywhere on the map, although this may be done differently on some systems (for example, Apple computers with only one mouse button, you can hold down Control while you click the mouse button). From the pop up menu, you can access several commands that use the exact location where you have clicked as a starting point. Find stops near here finds all of the bus stops that are within walking distance of the point where you clicked. Find routes servicing here finds all of the bus routes that offer service to bus stops within walking distance of the point where you clicked. Plan trip from here and Plan trip to here set the origin or destination of a Navigo trip to the point where you clicked.
Check the trip schedule to find a time down the line
When looking at any timetable, you can click on any time in the timetable to show the trip schedule. The trip schedule is a list of when a bus will stop at all of the bus stops on the trip that contains the time that you clicked. It can allow you to determine when a bus will arrive at a point down the line, so if you want to know when a certain bus will get you to your destination, this function can help you.
Use URL shortcuts to get to data quickly
Do you know the number of the bus stop or route that you are looking for? You don't even need to search for it. Simply type the proper web address into the address bar of your browser, and you'll be directed straight to the home page for your desired stop or route. For a bus stop, type in winnipegtransit.com/stops/ and then the 5 digit number of your stop. For a bus route type in winnipegtransit.com/routes/ and then the number of your route.
Save your frequently used stops, timetables, and more
If you have created a user account with winnipegtransit.com, you can save your frequently used items to access quickly throughout the site.
There are 5 main sections on winnipegtransit.com: Navigo, Timetables, Stops, Routes, and Map. Each one of these sections has a corresponding piece of information that you can save for quick access later on: My Trips, My Timetables, My Stops, My Routes, and My Locations. There are three main ways to save these items.

1) When you are viewing a Navigo trip plan, timetable, a location, or when you are on a stop or route homepage, you will see a button labeled Save... (for example, "Save Route") in the left side bar.
2) When you have entered a stop, route, or location when planning a trip with Navigo, or searching for timetables, stops, or routes, you will see a link labelled Save to My... (for example, "Save to My Locations") in the bottom right corner of the entry box with the confirmed information.
3) When you have clicked on a stop on the map, you will see a link that says Save to My Stops.
Once you have saved your items, they will be visible any time you are asked to enter that particular type of data throughout the site (provided you are logged in). You can also access them through the My... (for example, "My Timetables") button that comes up in the left sidebar every time you click on one of the five main sections. Just move your mouse over the button to see your saved items. You can also click on Manage my... (for example, "Manage my trips") to rename, reorder, or delete your saved items.
Set up your account the way you like it
If you have created a user account with winnipegtransit.com, make sure you click on Account in the upper left hand corner, to set up your user preferences. See Managing Your Account for more details.
Using a mobile device? Try BUSguide.
If you are using a mobile device such as a smart phone, we recommend using BUSguide. BUSguide is a web site that has been designed specifically with the strengths and limitations of mobile systems in mind. You can access most of the same information as you can on winnipegtransit.com, but it is geared towards quick and simple access.
Perhaps the best way to make use of BUSguide is to create a user account on winnipegtransit.com and save all of the trips, timetables, stops, routes, and locations using your desktop or laptop computer. When you log into BUSguide using the same user account all of those saved items will be accessible.
Use a modern web browser
Although efforts have been made to make this web site compatible with older web browsers, it is highly recommended that you use a modern web browser with good Javascript performance. Some good suggestions would be Firefox, Safari, or Chrome, all of which are free to download.
