Denied Handi-Transit
Handi Transit is a “parallel to Regular Transit service” for people who cannot regularly use the “fixed route” Transit System because they are legally blind or have a physical disability that significantly impairs their mobility.
Some applicants may not meet the necessary eligibility requirements for approval of Handi-Transit service.
Applicants who have been denied are able to appeal the decision of their denial. The request to appeal the denial decision must be received by the Handi-Transit office within 30 days of the initial notification. The decisions made by the Appeal Hearing Body are final.
